About UPPS
PigMover.com was launched in May 2005 as the website for United Pig Placement Services (UPPS). It was created to be a simple and easy-to-use site that connects buyers and sellers of weaned pigs and feeder pigs.
Founded in 2001, United Pig Placement Services (UPPS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JBS United, Inc. and is headquartered in Sheridan, Indiana. UPPS facilitates and services long-term contracts between sow owners and finishers. Serving as the agent for the sow owner, UPPS is responsible for designing and writing contracts and provides the logistics of pig deliveries, invoicing, collection and payment of all pigs sold. UPPS also uses its network of industry contacts and PigMover.com to connect buyers and sellers of weaned pigs and feeder pigs on the "spot market".
In addition to supporting our Nutrition Division with a supply of pigs, UPPS continues to pursue beneficial value added services for our customers such as assisting with transportation services, support in locating and negotiating contracts for nursery and finishing buildings, and in providing swine management services.
