PigMover.com was launched in May 2005 as the website for United Pig Placement Service (UPPS). It was created to be a simple and easy-to-use site that connects buyers and sellers of weaned pigs and feeder pigs.
Founded in 2001, UPPS is a subsidiary of JBS United, Inc. and is headquartered in Sheridan, IN. UPPS facilitates long-term contracts between sow owners and finishers and is responsible for negotiating contract terms, the scheduling and logistics of pig deliveries, and the invoicing, collection, and payment of all pigs sold. Along with facilitating long-term contracts, UPPS also connects buyers and sellers of weaned pigs and feeders pigs for the spot market.
